We can train and equip volunteers from your congregation, enabling them to
deliver RE curriculum workshops welcomed and valued by teachers.
Training Package
Our initial training package will take church volunteers with potentially little or no schools' experience, and teach them how to deliver a workshop with good planning and preparation.
It will also include practical help on topics such as: equipment, transportation, lifting & carrying; resourcing, crafting & other skills; understanding ‘teacher speak’ and how the curriculum works.
Foundation Training
10 hours, delivered across 5 evening or daytime sessions or over 2 full days. Includes theory and practical skills. Essential for all school-worker volunteers.

Includes FREE first workshop of your choice: training, plans, guidance, etc., requiring and additional 1-2hrs training time.

Delivered per parish/benefice/ churches together group of up to 12 participants. Neighbouring parishes may choose economy of scale by sharing training sessions (up to the participant limit) each paying two thirds the full cost.
Resource Package
Our resources include detailed lesson plans for teachers and guidance scripts for volunteer school-workers. We have a library of physical resources & supplies; and a digital library of videos, slides and printables.
Our package also includes admin paperwork templates, printable thinking-time response activities, and telephone/email helpline.
Workshop Packages
A complete 4-workshop package that enables volunteer teams to deliver workshops to every school year once in an academic year
(FS, KS1 x2, LKS2 x2, UKS2 x2)
Churches/ schools may choose any available workshop, but Faith Roots recommends adopting one or more of the following themes:

Price includes training/guidance on each workshop; teacher plans and team scripts; access to online and paper-based resources for one academic year; with the option to purchase or hire additional equipment and resources.
Support Package
Our ongoing support package is about helping you to continue providing good quality Christian RE into schools. It is expected that you will need greater advice & support during the first year, but may feel confident to expand your workshop base in the second year. Our flexible subscription options provide ongoing resources and benefits, whatever you decide.
Resources & Subscriptions
Churches may not be able to source and resource their own printing and craft materials, in which case these can be purchased (or in some cases hired) from Faith Roots.

Equally, larger equipment, such as puppets, artefacts, roving activities, etc. can all be hired per workshop, subject to availability.

All Faith Roots content and material (online, computer or paper based) remains the property of Faith Roots and is copyright as such. Buying any single/ multiple workshop package entitles a church to its use for the school year in which it was bought.

Annual subscription allows benefits to roll over, entitling you:
